After last night, Chris Sale now has 211 strikeouts in 148 innings. His FIP is an absolutely absurd 1.92. Is anyone remotely close to him for the A.L. Cy Young Award? I know it's early, but holy shit.

Also, today is a Jon Lester day, which is always fun around these parts.

And he can't play rugby for various reasons.

Nationals up 15-1 vs. the Brewers in the fourth inning. Washington has hit 8 homers, including 4 straight in the third.

He's missed a bunch of time but if Dallas Keuchel dominates like he has been and doesn't miss another start he could have a shot. Same would go for Kluber. But it's essentially Sale's to lose. Same in the NL with Scherzer thanks to Kershaw's injury, although Greinke could make a late push

Toronto's record of 10 in a game might be in some jeopardy here. NL record is nine

Jesus, Adam fucking Lind is batting .331 for the Nats. Bartolo Colon would be slashing .300/.400/.500 in that lineup, I swear.

Well, Jake Arrieta day was quiet because he pitched well and I didn't bother to act like you.

I was at a Paul McCartney concert with my wife and two kids, dancing in the rain with my 4-year-old daughter to Beatles songs.

    Sorry for not checking in.

Keuchel has missed too much time. Sale and a few others would have to completely fall apart the last two months to open that door. Kluber has 32 more innings pitched than Keuchel. Paxton, who also missed some time, could also factor into the race if he stays healthy.

Greinke has bounced back very well, but I don't think he can beat out Scherzer.
