    Yeah,

luckily one of the game's best players didn't completely shred his knee because he slipped on a wet base.

Twins win No. 59, tying last year's pathetic total.

WWL graphic just said Xander Boegaerts 2009 Aruba Little League World Series. Danny Almonte is jealous. That would make Boegaerts playing Little League at 16.

Not sure if it's their plan, but Dodgers can embark on a 45-game losing streak tomorrow and still finish with a winning record.

Considering some of the goofy and asinine ways baseball players have injured themselves over the years doing simple, everyday tasks, I think it's a little over the top to clutch your pearls when a guy is injured on a freak play while actually playing the game.
Harper could just as easily have taken a fastball off the knee in today's game or pulled a muscle running out that grounder last night. It's sports. Stuff happens. The only way it doesn't is if you call off the season two-thirds of the way through.

I totally get stuff happens throughout a season -- hit by a pitch, run into a wall, whatever. My point was that it was a situation where neither team was really interested in playing due to the conditions but were forced to anyway. And then look what happens. It was an unnecessary risk for anybody running to first and in this case, one of the top players was the casualty.

We don't have as many "Chris Sale sucks" digressions here as we used to.

Did Dave Dembowski think it was Annie Lennox night? That is a sweet coif, very nice.

We don't have as many posts about the failings of Jake Arrieta here as we used to, either.

LMAO "Here's a ball crushed to right field." Didn't reach the warning track. We could listen to John Sterling if we wanted to hear a jackass with no clue.
