If I were the Astros, I'd tell our new landlords at the Trop Dome to treat the Rangers like the fucking road team of all time. You dress in some third level broom closet, and the showers have cold, cold water. And as far as what you're gonna eat after the game, that's your fucking problem -- order pizza.

Not a good look for the Rangers. Meanwhile, I'm gonna get some great seats for some Texas baseball for $10.

Rangers saying they refused to switch series with Houston because that would put them on the road for four straight series in September and they're worried how it will affect the players in a playoff chase. Uhhh, you guys are below .500 with five teams between you and a second Wild Card berth. Dicks.

They shoulda switched, but they're not remotely out of the WC chase. Well, other than the fact they're not worth a shit.

It's a dick move by the Rangers, though there is a logistical problem that folks have purchased tickets for that home stand.

    Still a dick move.

If it was a weekend series, that'd be one thing, but the one later this month is a Mon-Wed series. Smart thing to do would be to play in ... ARLINGTON... then see what happens in a couple of weeks. Might have wound up playing here again anyway.

I wonder if perhaps there was a union issue here ... like maybe the players have to sign off or something if there's that major a change ... seems like an awful lotta PR downside for very little upside.

If the union is worried about that while Astros fans are honing their dog paddle moves, like the man said, dick move.

There's not even a big promotional date they're protecting on their schedule, unless dollar hot dog day counts.

Hey man, ease up on dollar hot dog night. That's a sacrament in my household.

Complete douche move by the Rangers. Classless is an understatement.

I'm just spitballing here, but is it possible there's bad blood between the teams regarding Nolan Ryan ditching the Rangers to work for the Astros? That was not a smooth and glorious departure.

Could be ... can't wait for what I'm sure will be a hot take from that inevitably-a-Pulitzer-winner in the Star-Telegram tomorrow.
