    Pirates sweep Cubs in Wrigley.

Guess it's time for ownership to break em up.

Actually, two nights later they came back from a 5-0 deficit and walked off against the Rangers. That was their last win. But point taken. After having uninspiring performances from their starting pitchers for the last week-plus, Tyler Skaggs today throws seven shutout innings and gets no runs of support. Go figure.

The Royals have won four straight and are back to .500 after a pitiful start. I think they are decent, but built completely different than the pennant and World Series teams. Bullpen is sketchy and they don't manufacture runs, but starting pitching is really good and they are hitting for power.

Can we keep fans on the front row from interfering with home runs? Aaron Judge just had one taken away by an ass/replay.

You're supposed to be arrested/charged for that, depending on the park you're in. That's one of my biggest pet peeves, fans who know better than that.

As Tony Romo would say, it's frustrating and disappointing. But ... that's baseball. They weren't expected to be much this season so it was a nice start to the season. Tough weekend. On to Houston.

That ball was out regardless of the fan. Terrible call. Of course, Bird's homer right after made it moot.

Royals (now Kauffman) Stadium in 1974 was in the "concrete donut" generation, but really it was a brief update of Dodger Stadium, the only 50s-70s stadium designed and built exclusively for baseball (with Anaheim loosely in that group too).

New Comiskey, really, is the direct descendant of those two parks (Dodger and Royals Stadiums). And in the major remodeling in 2001-2007, it's essentially been converted into another Camden Yards-style retro park.

Didn't the Rams play in Anaheim for a while?
