Can you imagine how infuriating/confusing it must be to coach Trevor Bauer?

How far away is Buster from requesting a trade to the AL so he can DH?
He is a foul tip to the melon away from disaster.

"OK, Trevor, focus on these 3 pitches tonight?"

    "Which 3 ... I'm working on 8 more!"

Position switch more likely. Third base is kinda sorta open long-term, or he could go to first and they could either trade Belt or move him to LF (where he plays now and then already).

Don't you want to keep him catching as long as you can if you're the Giants? Once he changes positions his value drops considerably. It such an advantage to have a catcher who can hit like that.

Very exciting this season so far to see young stars like Dansby Swanson and Kyle Schwarber show why there was so much buzz around them coming into the year.

Joe Mauer is just a guy now, exactly, and has been for a few years. Probably cost him Cooperstown.

Mauer stopped hitting and stopped catching.

Yeah, probably since 2014. A 1B hitting 4 HRs, driving in 55 runs and slugging .370 doesn't move the needle much.

Posey is a top 20 1B, but the best hitting catcher in baseball.

I feel like 2009 put unrealistic expectations on Joe Mauer.

Both have been total wrecks. Schwarber is far more surprising than Swanson, though.
