Running 2019-2020 college hoops thread

Heard the CBS Eye on College Basketball podcast today. The host was whining about the loss this is for college basketball and how we were "robbed" of seeing Wiseman play. He proceeded to express the dreadful fear that UNC may continue to lose while Cole Anthony is out and that Anthony might follow Wiseman's lead and pack it in. Brand name fellatio at its finest.

 

I like the part about "will sign" with an agent. I figure Wiseman's had an "advisor" since he was 13.
Should be fun to see him on the Warriors next year though.

 

Good model of what to do. Commit to a school, use their facilities during the summer to work out, practice in the fall with great coaching and play some intense scrimmages in November and December and drop out after the first semester, sign with an agent and get in draft shape without risk of injury.

 

Yep. I suspect he has been taking cash from somebody for a while and presumed that would go public.
What I found interesting about the Instagram post is that it didn't lash out at the NCAA. Wiseman didn't say that his decision was related to the repayment requirements. Because it almost certainly wasn't. A guy only months away from a massive payday wouldn't have any trouble securing a loan of that size, would he?

 

And he attended class faithfully and got a start on his college degree, I'm sure.

 

UAB was in a league with Memphis for many years, and I would normally say that nothing Memphis did (or got caught doing) would surprise me.

Wiseman attending class would astonish me.

 

Gee ... it's not like anyone has ever done the same in regards to a player wearing Baby Blue. Nah ... never ...

Chapel Hill might want to be worried that Cole Anthony will realize, as Wiseman already has, that this college basketball silliness all an injury risk with little chance of actual professional gain.

Roy already has a coaching mountain to climb. It will worsen exponentially if Anthony and Leaky Black can't get back on the floor soon.

 

given the exercise, practice, game and travel schedule do many players see the inside of a regular classroom more than 4-5 times a semester? And that’s just for show and girl watching.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing the NBA on NBC theme music on every one of FOX outros and rejoins.
Adopt the SNF on NBC theme. Play relevant songs. First time I heard them play Walsh' "Rocky Mountain Way" out in Denver while showing the Rocky Mountains going to break, I was like "Yeah.....thats pretty damn cool."

 

Chef pet peeve #386.
Having guys on the bench wearing white towards the end of the bench.
Blends in with the net and drives me bonkers.
Edit: I adore Ness and Raf, but I have to turn the channel.
Can't do it.

 

"Leaky Black" sounds like a porn star specializing in interracial golden showers scenes.
