    It was just like those November-December "invitation" tournaments and similar made for TV events when the Tour's dormant. Just about as easy to lose interest in, too.

    Golf with no stakes is just not fun to watch. I watched a couple of holes but was quickly bored. I never got into the silly season stuff for this reason. Also, shoutout to Global Golf Post for its ridiculous 20-page advertorial slurp job it gave Seminole last week. I know there isn't a ton to write about right now, but that was excessive, to say the least.

    Seminole is a great golf course. It is not particularly striking on TV except for being right by the ocean. You can see how it's really hard, but it just doesn't grab the eye as a potential postcard.

    I read every word and it was all well-written. Not a lot of people knew about Seminole. They served their readers.

    The web site is called "Global GOLF Post." They write about golf so there's really no such thing as too much. Maybe don't click on it?
