I’ve had my Mizunos for over 20yrs and my driver for 7yrs but just decided to treat myself to new PXG clubs during great sale. New driver does help narrow the shot dispersion, not necessarily go farther.

Good to know, thinking about a PXG driver. I’m using a Big Bertha 3 wood and can hit it 240-50 but would like the extra distance of a driver. The BB driver has such a big head it’s disconcerting.

Get for for a Titleist. They have the most traditional head shape. Also great quality and most places have a fitting cart for them.

My late Dad had old Ping Eye 2s and one of these days I'll get them restored. He didn't play much in his last few years and the shafts rusted out from the seaside air at home. I sent his Ping putter back to the company for refinishing and it came back beautiful.

I use acetone nail polish remover to clean up my clubs, removes the mat debris after a range session.

    If you have mat debris.

Phil: they’re doing this for your own good. (The last three complete seasons he’s ranked 185th, 174th and 177th in driving accuracy.)

He doesn't care. He'll take a wedge from the rough over a 7-iron from the fairway every day.

This is ridiculous. There are all these other rules that protect the integrity of the game, the head size, the coefficient effect, why not shaft length? Dude get a clue. (Phil's videos on youtube on bunker play and chips are phenomenal BTW and I'm eternally grateful to him for those, like a knucklehead I just discovered them a couple of months ago.)

Best tip for bunker play: Unless you're in a tournament, draw a line two inches behind the ball. That's your clubhead target.

I have a mental block in bunkers that I’ve given up on solving. No matter how much I practice I will catch the ball flush and hit a rocket 20 yards past the green. I warn people I’m playing with. I am the Chuck Knoblauch of bunkers.
