US sports are weird when you’re five hours ahead and you can’t really watch the games. That said, woke up to see a recent national champ lost in Lynchburg in the NIT? Whew. Anyway, schlepping home a day early so I’ll have a four-day hoops weekend. Can’t wait.

Man, you ARE a true Cleveland sports fan. The only fan base, along with degenerate gamblers and fantasy players, who can find misery amid the euphoria of winning.

I really have no feel on March Madness - decided to fill out a bracket where I picked the team/coach/state I hated more in every match-up.

Given the Gee Factor in this year's season, in which every team I thought looked very good on TV was immediately smoked in their next game or at most game after that, I don't feel real confident about picking a bracket.

Pitt is 4-0 this year in those god awful black uniforms so obviously wear them the rest of the way now. I prefer the blue road uniforms but what do I know.

Them, Washington State and a No. 1 seed in that tournament, Rutgers, all lost last night.
Be on alert for Oklahoma State tonight. A No. 1 seed that is playing on the road at Youngstown State because its own arena was not available.
And this has been your NIT 30 seconds.

You’d think he’d at least take a mulligan on UCLA.

I watched the last couple rounds of the Pac-12 tournament and Bill Walton kept going on and on about how Washington State deserved to be in the NCAA tournament.

Turns out they didn't even deserve to be in the NIT.

Villanova playing at Liberty was great. So will Okie State playing at YSU. Biggest home games in those school's history, probably.

I know the NIT loves the P5 teams but how great would it have been to send Michigan to Toledo? Michigan drew 4500, Toledo would have probably sold out. The NIT doesn't mean much to the big-time schools but to EWU, hosting Wazzu in Cheney would have been out of this world.

Like when Kentucky had to go to Robert Morris a few years back and lost.

Finally saw some clips from last night's games. Agreed on Pitt's unis, but what about the two-deck school name on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi?
