    Yeah, but from what I saw, passes and execution left room for improvement.

    When Ralph Sampson got those, they were where they needed to be. And at that point, there was nothing defenders were going to do about it.

    I mean, when Jim Valvano doubled Ralph, he used 6-10 Cozell McQueen and 6-7 Lorenzo Charles (and yeah … what was Akeem’s excuse?). FDU didn’t have that size when they swarmed Edey. And still Purdue didn’t get it done.

    FDU was the better team. They had better players at 4/5 of the positions.

    Purdue was incredibly unathletic.
