He's a fine wordsman but every time you see Lynch in the byline and LIV in the headline, you know what's coming. I don't find that compelling anymore after he's been beating the drum for nearly a year in print and TV.

When it comes to the OWGR, way too few golf scribes are recognizing the conflicts of interest all over its board and how the criteria for ranking, even as listed point by point, also can be completely ignored at the discretion of the OWGR. It can just as easily rubber-stamp any tour for points anytime it wants as it can also play the stall game. But for many media it's too easy and PGA Tour-friendly to write "LIV doesn't meet the criteria" and not try to dig any further.

All that said, LIV should just STFU and lay low until next year. I suspect they'll get points, but reduced ones to match their field size and format.

Just a note, there's a 19 year old rookie on the LPGA Tour, Atthaya Thitikul, who's won two tournaments, is ranked No. 2, leads for ROY and is also a strong contender for POY.

Except for dumping his fiancee via text (or email; can't remember which).

No one needs world rankings. The majors filled their fields for a hundred years without them and they can do so again quite easily.
