    So it turns out the secret to finally getting your perennially underachieving team to the Final Four is to lose to a 16-seed. Who knew?

    Happy for Purdue. And if today is the beginning of an insufferable fanbase, at least one of the most insufferable fanbases in the country was there to see the birth.

    That's what I meant. It's a little odd that both teams that lost to 16-seeds made it to the Final Four the next season.
