The leading scorer in the WNBA averaged 24.7 points per game. And that was the highest average since 2006.

The league is built and officiated for defense, not entertainment.

But I wouldn't underestimate what Clark might do, or ESPN's commitment to elevating her profile.

    This is the WNBA's moment.

Bueckers was in Clark's class. They play the same position.

I have no idea what Edey's pissed about, and I love the guy's game. Purdue is where he belonged; Purdue plays through a center, had a 7-3 guy before Edey, had a 7-2 guy before the 7-3 guy, had a 7-0 guy before the 7-2 guy. (And none of those guys were Trevion Williams!)

Purdue has had so many 7-foot white stiffs that I think it took people an extra beat to realize Edey was this special.

She might do for the WNBA what Steph did for the NBA 10 years ago. She has that kind of game, shooting effortlessly from 30 feet.

Great shooters tend to become better shooters as they age. And her vision is special.

Bueckers, Clark, Reese, Brink and Cardoso were all 5-star recruits in the same class.

But recruiting rankings are meaningless. ;)

I wonder if we’re seeing the women’s college game is going to dominate for a while and eventually enough name recognition will finally boost the WNBA to the point it emerges where the post merger NBA ended up.

Disagree. Banning player props would be a smart step forward. That’s where the biggest gambling issues are going to be.

It was idiotic when he wrote it. And he wasn't the only one.

Thanks for digging that trash take up.

I've been well prepared for this new mercenary era of college hoops thanks to my time as a European soccer fan. Especially if your team is in the Championship, if a young player is any good, you can bet he'll be sold at the transfer window. No sense in getting attached to any player, because it's unlikely they'll stay for any real length of time.

Virginia Tech women's basketball Twitter (it exists) is just embarrassing right now. Crying because Kenny Brooks didn't send a heartfelt thank you to fans when he left, yada yada. Grow up, people.
