I think this is one of the biggest things the women's game has going for it. No one-and-dones, and while there are transfers, it feels like there are fewer than in the men's game.

But they've always had that going for it.

Right now they have Clark. These high-ratings games are impressive, but how are the ratings in non-Clark games?

I’ve been told around here the numbers are in the hundreds. For SEC tournament games. With LSU and South Carolina playing in them.

Yes, which had big, bad LSU and big, bad Mulkey. Always train-wreck potential (and, of course, the game even provided one!).

ACC championship game drew one-third of that.

We'll see what N.C. State-South Carolina does without Clark as the lead in and without a captivating player or coach. Just two very talented teams.

    Maybe it'll do incredible.

Probably won’t look incredible next to the other game. But I’d think the team that’s on a 107-3 heater the last three seasons picked up a viewer or two along the way.

Hey, maybe I'm way wrong. Just feels like the equivalent of the Brady Anderson 50-HR season. Enjoy it while it lasts, but don't base a 10-year contract on it.

Now I do not envy Iowa’s season ticket sales staff, although they’ve got more talent besides Clark than last year at first glance.

The 12.5m viewership HAS to also be a record for ANY women's basketball game in the US right? WNBA doesn't pull those types of numbers - and the Olympics are blow outs with zero drama usually played on an alternate channel like USA.
