Nah, she got stripped just before halftime and didn't bitch.

Obviously the accolades about her scoring, passing and overall offensive ability are well deserved.

But whether it’s because she is conserving energy at the defensive end or she simply hasn’t had to be Iowa’s best defender, that’s the area Clark will need to improve most at the next level.

A lot of the wide open looks South Carolina (and especially UConn) got from 3-point range were from players Clark was guarding.

Clark did have moments today when she was obviously upset with the refs, but it didn't seem that egregious. Wright Thompson's very good long article on Clark went into how the Iowa coaches have spent four years trying to reign in her outbursts of frustration with teammates, officials, and the world at large; you assume Dad has attempted to do so as well and that this is why cameras caught him yelling for her to "shut up" in an earlier game.

Clark had to work so hard every possession and SC did a great job limiting the cheap buckets on her passes.

Which, reading between the lines, is a big reason Geno didn't recruit her, in addition to already having Paige locked up. He doesn't need that drama. Iowa, which should drop like a stone next year, didn't have that luxury.

Wondering how big the Iowa women's basketball payroll -- sorry, NIL budget -- is for portal players.

Maybe this may have been answered, but why didn’t they put the women’s game in prime time?

The thing about Clark, what I'll remember about her offensive game for now, is how little space she needed to get those 27-footers off. She would essentially get a handoff and screen from somebody, and boom, that shot was gone.

I'd submit that a 3 p.m. Sunday start is better for growth of the game than a 9:20 p.m. Monday start.

But a 7 or 8 pm Sunday night game?

We’re conditioned to watch big events on Sunday afternoons. I actually think a night start on Sunday would have been detrimental. Monday? Different story.

It was answered by someone else uptopic, but when the tournament was WWL-exclusive, they wanted it over before Sunday Night Baseball.

Here in Indianapolis it's just getting started. I hope Clark turns out more like Tamika Catchings than Danica Patrick as a person, to name maybe the two biggest recent-ish female sports figures in Indy prior to her.
