If Filipowski getting injured finally brings an end to court storming, then I will begrudgingly admit Duke has made a positive contribution to college basketball.

Time to go WWE and put a fence around the court. At the worst, old school headline writers can start using "cagers" again.

Funny how they don't have this problem in college hockey.

Mississippi Valley State pounded at home again.

Last chance for a win Monday night in final home game?

Tennessee played as well as possible. You know things are going well when your 5-foot-9 point guard outrebounds every opposing player. And chips in 13 assists, 4 steals and 0 turnovers.

All of which means . . . they're peaking right on schedule. February's darlings.

    Precisely.
All of this means that they will get bounced in the second round.

They had a coach named Dana Kirk years ago who was a flat-out crook. Then Calipari. Now this. Regardless of who's ever in charge at Memphis, it winds up being a cesspool.

Rick Pitino’s suit is merely a simple country lawyer.

Not to be grumpy old guy but college kids and Gen Zers have a way of fucking up a good thing. Court and field storming will be a thing of the past because sooner or later, schools are going to get tired of paying fines -- or someone will get seriously hurt. They're going to tone down the party at the Phoenix Open because people took a fun atmosphere and turned it into a Clockwork Orange. No city wants anything to do with Spring Breaks anymore because they couldn't just party on the beach and the clubs -- it had to turn into a days-long contest for binge drinking, date rape and overturning police cars.

By the way, anyone ever notice that as obnoxious as Florida, Michigan Alabama and Ohio State fans are, there's never a court or field storming at those schools? I know in the case of Florida, the football stadium and basketball arena are built to prevent it ... the stands are too high above the playing surface. Plus, they actually have security that does its job.

Excellent points. You must have a physical presence and a penalty structure.
