Regarding last year's NCAA championship game:

The clash, which peaked at 12.6 million viewers, drew an average crowd on par with the television audience for the six-game 2021 NBA Finals series, which averaged 9.89 million viewers on ABC. It also topped both the 2022 Sugar Bowl’s audience (9.14 million) and Amazon Prime Video’s season average for Thursday Night Football (9.57 million).

I guess matchups are everything sometimes, but women's games on FOX are outdrawing men's games on FOX (980,000 average vs. 940,000).

I watch them lose consistently to the UC Davises and Hawaiis. The facilities of these places don't come close to Long Beach State's. The recruiting base is fantastic.

Monson has now been there 17 years. Last NCAA berth was 2012. It is unreal.

Not only no NCAA appearances since then, but they've only made the NIT three times. Do they simply have no expectations whatsoever for the program? How does he still have the job?

No idea how he still has a job.

It has to be embarrassing to all involved when the Pyramid is absolutely rocking for a men's volleyball game, then a night or two later, the Pyramid sounds like a library for a men's game.

Towson just suffered the type of loss that no one even remotely connected to the program will ever get over. Up seven with under four minutes to go, got outscored 13-1 the rest of the way and had a kid airball the front end of a 1-and-1 that could have tied the game.

Monson’s first claim to fame — the Zags’ first deep tournament run — was in the last century, years before the iPhone. JFC I am old.

    1.96 million for LSU-South Carolina, 3.02 million for Nebraska-Iowa.

The only weekend events to top the B1G championship game were NASCAR (4.03 million) and UNC-Duke (3.08 million).

Denver upsets it way to the Summit League title game. Plays SDSU-Plains tonight for the championship and its first NCAA bid.

Clark pulls in great ratings, no question. The key is, can they be sustained? Can the program stay at a high level it never achieved before she arrived? Oregon crashed and burned once Sabrina left.
