Honestly, if this guy just forgets where he puts his gun, it doesn’t say much about him being a responsible gun owner.

I asked that question on Twitter. “How do you forget where your gun is?” One of the NASCAR spotters said it’d happened to a few people he knew when they went through TSA. (Why didn’t TSA/Border Patrol stop Busch on this side of the border?)

    You either:

    1. Have multiple guns and don’t worry about misplacing one. Not a good move when you have a very young kid around, like KB.

    2. Someone else is packing your bags. In that case it better be someone you really trust.

I don’t have any friends who are in “carry culture,” so I just don’t get it. But I’m a city kid now firmly entrenched in quiet suburbia.

TSA confiscated record number of guns from airline passengers in 2022

    Unsurprising graphic is unsurprising.

So Kyle gets the first Lucky Dog of the season? Million dollar talent, ten cent brain.

I'm going to ask my ex-Rocky Mount colleague to change his Twitter page to Jeff Glock for the Twins.

I don't know if Busch realizes how lucky he is to be back in the US now. That's not how this usually goes.

Mexico does not fuck around in "I forgot about my gun" cases.

If you carry everywhere, you don't think about it. It's just part of your daily and you sometimes end up at a place where you get checked (like w/ a metal detector), don't enter, have to store something in your vehicle trunk or you just go home.

However, flying to another country - much less Mexico, which has strict firearms laws despite all that happens there - is incredibly stupid with a firearm. If this had not been KB with whatever money and influence he has, he still would be in jail there.

I know a handful of people who have been arrested or detained down there. One worked for a firearms company, the others were hunters or anglers. Bad, bad situations all around.

Yeah, I can't speak for everyone, but when I carry, I carry as in on my person. The only exception is usually when I'm in my truck for an extended period of time, I have a place for it. It's never in luggage, out of my reach, or out of quick sight.

How does Alex Bowman annually end up on the front row at Daytona? Wrong answers only.

Obviously, they’re putting Lasix in the racing gas.

Chad Knaus is really the crew chief on the 48.

I remember as a kid how cool it was that on Thursday before Daytona my dad would take off work at lunch and be home watching the Twin 125s by the time I got home from school.
Now, he's bedbound and won't even be awake to see the green flag drop because they just have to race under the lights.

I never appreciated how cool it was that they raced the twins during the day. It was like spring training baseball.

Given that the Sunday races don't start before 3 anymore, we shouldn't be surprised about the 125s.
