No, and I wondered if Cognizant might have tried that first before the Tour and/or Tiger said that might be a little too much.

Does anybody know if Charlie is really any good or not?

I mean, sure, he's got the genetics and the best modern player of all time as his dad/coach, but is he any good?

Tiger’s a garbage human being, what makes you think he’s somehow a good dad?

He finished tied for 26th in the Florida Class 1A state tournament. His team won the state title but under the format (start five players, count the four best scores) he was last on his team. He's played a few junior events here and there but has never played in the Florida state junior. I think people have seen a few big drives and some putts playing with Dad in the Father Son and come to the wrong conclusion about Charley's ability. He's only 14. He may be good in time. But right now ... there are 100 junior players in Florida better than he is.

Didn't say that. Best modern player. Said nothing about his parenting.

At the Notah Begay in 2022, Charlie got thoroughly beaten by one of our Virginia kids who is good but hasn’t won any of our events. Charlie seemingly hits the shit out of the ball but isn’t ready for this level of event. If Tiger just wants to get him experience, that’s cool. But he’s got a ways to go to compete against the elite juniors.

What is Charlie's index? Have to be a 2 or less to enter.

    +3.0 according to GHIN

That's terrific. Better than 99.995 percent of all players. Wonder if he putts out all his three-footers.

We have some players who claim +5.0 indices who clearly have never played in anything more than a member guest. So who the hell knows? I’ll say this, he’s not taking opportunities away from others by playing in pre-qualifiers so it’s pretty harmless.

Maybe Charlie is the golf version of the Williams sisters (no juniors, lights it up against the pros)? Okay not likely.

He bombs it a long way and hit some nice shots at the PNC but best ball/scramble is big difference than playing your ball down.

As for making those 3 footers, at least in HS competition we know he had to right?

A pre-qualifier is sorta like the first stage of US Open qualifying, if your index is low enough, you can sign up. What I don't get is publicizing this. Just let him show up, play and develop.
