Watched a little bit of The Sentry…
The most startling thing of the day…..the Bhatia kid……he’s 6’1…..weighs 130 pounds.
He can never play in Texas because the wind will have him fluttering around like a kite.

 

I was listening to it on XM and the commercial breaks were getting out of hand there, too, imo. Finally changed it to NFL updates.

 

Hicks sucks this year just as every other year.

 

Nike TW sponsorship ends after 27 years.

I saw some large-brained folks on social media (I know, I know) mourning the last of Tiger in Sunday red. They appear to believe Nike owns the color red?

I’m curious to see who he makes a deal with.

 

How I spent the past five minutes:

Stare at Google.
Look at some of my recent searches.
Look at the feed of suggestions.
Finally ask why am I here and what am I doing?
Backtrack.
Oh yes, what is ETTD?
Laughs.

Google Senior Moments plus easily distracted absolutely suc… hey, a squirrel!

 

The Tiger "coolness" effect was when they came out with his unique signature trainer looking shoe and the retro, collar-less shirts. Thereafter, its been "blah" anyways especially once Nike abandoned actual golf equipment. Now, with FJ, he's "just gonna be another guy" who looks like a 50 yr old dude wearing FJs and FJ chinos.

 

I’m assuming Nike has been waiting out a contract to do this ever since they got rid of their golf brand years ago, right?

In some ways Tiger’s arc is more like that of a sports star of the first half of the 20th century, where one’s shine waned well before 50 and one quickly became an afterthought. We forget Jordan was an outlier in staying culturally relevant so long after retirement.
