Trooper, that was a solid breakdown.

To me, it seems like the English coach prefers to play not to lose than to play for the win. The guy just seems too worried and the strategy suffers for it.

The Dutch seemed like a real good team that just didn't take advantage and score more goals, despite the chances. I did pick them to win it all, and I was hoping this squad could be a bit different, but NO. They have to be a bunch of bitches. Fucking A.

That Japanese goal? I'm susprised the officials didn't call a foul.

Shep goes a little over the top sometimes. That was a questionable non-call. But before the goalie was interfered with, he was albowing another Japanese player in the head. So, it could have been an issue of balancing things out.

Also, Australia is looking better than I thought they would. I had Japan winning this one 2-0. But I am happily entertained by this one. Just a good, fun game.

With each minute that rolls by in this match, I'm getting more excited about the one kicking at 11:55 a.m.

Absolutely. I've got on my US throwback jersey; short sleeves with the ties. Oh, I'm jonesing. I'll grab some lunch around 10:40 then, I'll be off to the bar!

I thought it was a foul totally independent of what Shep thought. But that's just me. It was close. And yeah, this is entertaining. Gearing up for noon EST/11 CST now. Go US!

No problem. I wasn't trying to insinuate that anyone calling it a foul was doing so because of Shep. It was a very close call and I think it could have easily been called a foul. However, right before that, the goalie was elbowing someone else out of the air. So, to me, it seemed like a balancing out.

This is a very entertaining game though.

    Come on 11:55!

Take a laptop so you can post minute-to-minute commentary for us. Just don't spill a beer on it.

Japan 1, Australia 1. Aussies get their first Cup goal.

I got Japan second to Brazil in my pool picks, so bad on me.

If the U.S. beats the Czechs, kolaches are on me!
