What is that on the right side of Ribery's face? It runs down from his eyebrow along his cheek almost to his jaw. At first, I thought it was sweat mixed with dirt running down his face. But it's there all the time. Is it a scar? A birthmark?

It's catchy, whatever it is. And it's part of the soundtrack to this summer for me. I would download it from iTunes if I knew what it was, and if they had it on there.

Speaking of songs, why is every other nation's national anthem called "Song of the Portuguese" or "Song of the Italians" or "The Czech Song" or "The German Song" when its title is translated for American TV?

Except, of course, the great "La Marseillaise." Which is known to all. :D

But they are doing that for every other song. Why?

    It's either...

The Official Song of the 2006 World Cup - "Time of our Lives" by Il Divo
    or
The 2006 FIFA World Cup Anthem - "Celebrate the Day" by Herbert Grönemeyer

Both are available on the official FIFA World Cup album...
