Running, all-purpose World Cup thread

Well, this time around the U.S. is actually controlling possession longer than its opponents, but it can't begin to put together a scoring chance - other than the Reyna post - while the Czechs have finished both chances they've had. To put it in American football terms, the U.S. has more first downs but the Czechs have scored on two long bombs.

    So the US loses this one. That means wins over Italy and Ghana are absolutely needed to advance, right? No way will 4 points (one win, one tie) get them out of pool play.

    How much does it matter that the oaf got hurt? It's not like the Czech's are looking to score as much here.

    And excitement for soccer in the US disappears for another four years. Hey, at least they kept it exciting for almost five minutes.
