Reminds me of one of my favorite bumper stickers:

    Stop continental drift! Reunite Godwanaland!

    ------------

BigSoccer posters will complain about damn near anything if given the chance. I speak from experience.... ::)

But it appears their complaining may be being heard (anthems are now being played). Now the director just needs to drop the scorebar when they go to replays like every other sport on ESPN. Better if they go the ABC route and put the scorebar on the bottom.

They played the German national anthem before the game Wednesday. Of course, these days they just hum the "Deutschland ¨ber alles" part ....

That didn't take long. Argies up 1-0. This will be painful.

Gives new meaning to the term "S&M".....

ARG is really nasty. Playing better than Brasil, you think?

Much. Up 3-0 on the vaunted S&M defense? Yikes....

Best team so far in the World Cup. Argentina looks awesome.

I saw the link to BigSoccer. I avoid posting there due to the unacceptable number of shitty people bitching needlessly. I can't read another word about the bad anouncing. The complaints have gotten old.

I have yesterday's matches taped. I missed the two early games as I was out taking care of stuff. But I caught the second half of the Sweden game before I returned home. What a good game.

Argentina certainly looks to be making a push to become the new favorites.

Christ, that was a Georgia Tech-Cumberland level ass kicking right there.

  11. It's nice that all those young German fans can spend a month or so with their great-grandparents who are visiting from Argentina.
That one will set soccer back a few years. Yeesh. How did S&M ever qualify? Who'd they beat? (If it's the Irish, I am very embarrassed.)
