If Serena gets her first serves in she's going to break Peer's wrist

 

Clijsters has to play Hingis in the quarters and Maria in the semis... tough road.

 

If Kimmy is on, and I see no reason to believe she won't be, Hingis just doesn't match up with her. She just doesn't have it against Clijsters. ... And I say this as the biggest Martina backer on the board.

That said, Sharapova has to be the favorite in that half of the bracket. If her confidence is up, she won't lose to anybody.

Serena vs. Sharapova would be one HELL of a final. A resurgent Serena vs. a retiring Clijsters would be, too.

 

Simple fact. Serena is tough enough and enough of a winner to make the final even when she's far out of shape.
Winning the title might be a different story against Sharapova or Clijsters

 

Peer serving for the match at 6-5.
The kid has shown some serious guts in the third set and Serena is about worn out.

 

Serena breaks back and tells Peer to find some heart.

 

Right after I say the kid is showing some guts, she spits the bit and loses three straight games and the match... broken a 6-5 and at 6-7.
CHOKE!

 

Meanwhile, Mardy Fish has just realized where he is and has already been broken twice. Mardy might get a set, but that's it.

 

I figured he might serve his way to a 7-6 set, but he's not getting enough first serves in to hold twice in a row.

 

I've got agate from this match. Are they showing in on tape delay or something?

 

Apparently, I just noticed that it doesn't say Live in the top right corner.
