As long as the Federer match is live, I don't care.

Freakin' amazing, it's like when I turned on the match, Tommy Robredo suddenly forgot how to put the ball over the net. Don't make it EASIER for him or anything, Tommo.

Tommy's doing pretty good right now. Roger's hit several shots long.

Yeah, it's like he heard me. Weird, though, Roger couldn't keep a single one-handed backhand in against Djokovic, and tonight, he just had a rally with four or five straight, great placement.

Watching Serena play is so interesting. She is just as likely to overhit an easy forehand by 5 feet as she is to hit an amazing winner. She seems out of shape, but she's played some strong third set tennis this week. She seems both mentally tough and weak in the same game, much less match.

My Serena dress is on the Fedex truck to my house ass we speak (pun intended)..
It is gonna be tremendous at the old country club, although I need to work on my tan to do it justice. :)

(ADD) Just arrived. Spectacular. I was right about the tan, though.

And I have a feeling that Serena's is custom-made, to make sure she can squeeze all her junk in. :D

Williams lacks Tiger Woods' single-minded focus on the sport, but -- on-court -- she is just like him, not playing against the other players as much as she is playing against herself.

Intimidation is certainly a factor with some players as opposed to others, but what it comes down to is that Williams knows that she is good enough to beat anyone and everyone when she wants to. For whatever reason, she wants to win this one.

Really looking forward to Clijsters and Hingis tonight.

And thank you, Aussie Open (or ESPN or whoever) for not making it the night match in Australia (3:30 a.m. here).

Unfortunately, who knows how ESPN will handle the telecast? Match should begin around 9, but ESPN is coming on at 10 and likely will show Sharapova on three-hour tape delay first.

    Yet another reason ESPN sucks:
Sharapova and Chakvetadze are 5-5 in the first set but the match is not on TV.
ESPN2 kicks ass with early coverage then we get screwed when it gets to a night like tonight.
    Nice work ESPN assholes.
