    A little nitpick:
    Maria was the No. 1 seed, not the No. 1-ranked player (the newly single last-named Justine Henin was).
    Maria will be No. 1 in the world when the next rankings come out.

    I hope Federer rolls today. He can't reach and pass Sampras and Sampras' eyebrows' record too soon for me.
