Yeah, Bubs, you Brewers fans should understand. You haven't cared about August baseball in awhile, either, huh? :D But at least you had a .500 record a couple years ago. And the Brewers have at least been to the WS in your lifetime. Shit, the Cubs haven't seen the fall classic in my parents' lifetimes.

Arizona reportedly will call up Justin Upton from Double-A Mobile. It's interesting that a team in a pennant race would call up a kid like that. Mark Reynolds worked out pretty well with his call up, but he's no kid.

Adam Jones got his call up to Seattle today after ripping apart the PCL for most of the year.

Yeah? Ronny Cedeno was tearing up the PCL, too. :D

Kyle Loshe will dominate tonight and make all the Phillies fans happy that Gillick traded for another stud.

If he dominates tonight it has something to do with S&M because it's a day game. :)

I heard Kazuhito Tadano is looking for a co-star in his upcoming movie.

I'm sorry, but Roger Clemens is my favourite pitcher and player of all time, but he's done.

I've seen him pitch live twice this year, and I'm watching him against the White Sox right and he just doesn't have it anymore. He's given up five consecutive hits in the second and is losing 3-0.

And, some of the wins he has this year he was lucky to get.

As an aside, how can anyone outside Chicago stomach the Sox TV broadcasters?

No. Hawk is horrible. Among his many lines I detest:

    * You can put it on the board.....YES!
    * Joe Blow on the bump.
    * (When a White Sox pitcher gets a strikeout) He gone!
    * (when there's an easy fly-ball chance) It's a can of corn!

I just can't stand the "we" mentality. Hey Hawk, you aren't playing!

And, I can't stand the nicknames he has for everyone when they come to bat. Just call them by their first and last name on first plate appearance and then last name for the remainder of the game.

Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe how he sounds in the booth.

Oh my god! He just encouraged Thome by saying "C'mon Jimmy, don't strike out."

As an aside, Clemens is now down 5-0. And he's faced nine batters.

    It's painful to watch.

The boo birds are out in the Bronx.

Finally, action in the bullpen, after 12 batters.

Granted five runs are unearned I believe.
