So much for San Diego needing a bat, I guess.

  2. A couple of weeks ago, Cranberry noted that the popularity of Barry Bonds was the cause for the Cubs setting a four-game series attendance record at Wrigley Field

    The record lasted two weeks.

The Cubs-Phillies series drew 163,727, a four-game record for Wrigley Field that topped the 161,374 who attended last month’s series against the Giants.

Brewers catcher Johnny Estrada apparently wanted to throttle Brewers manager Ned Yost during today's Mets-Brewers' game.

    Don't condone, do sympathize.

Why did Estrada want to strangle him?

Because he "disagreed" with the way the Brewers are being handled, as per AP.

I voiced my displeasure in St. Louis on Sunday, but it didn't make the AP.

Big Tex is making quite the McGruff impression in Atlanta right now.
