Tavarez just fully extended on a head-first dive into the left-center gap to make an ONIONS! catch to end the inning. Sweet.

Colorad 7, Braves 1.

 

Teixeira goes yard, deep over CF fence; 3 homers in 3 games with Braves.

Braves 2, Colorado 9.

 

Final: Colorado 9, Braves 2.

Notes: Jeff Francis ties Rockies record with 7th straight win.

 

Looks like Gutter answered my question as to who was in charge of changing flags at Wrigley.

 

Gallardo with another quality outing: 6.2 IP and gets the W.

 

Bonds, who is 0-for-2, will bat in the top of the 6th.

I love how the crowd boos Bonds, but when he initially connected on that last pitch the whole crowd rose in unison and was cheering.

 

Bonds is just struggling right now. He had a great pitch to hit and rolled over on it.

 

I'll tell you this, if I was there, I'd boo his name when it's announced. Cheer like hell on any walk - intentional or otherwise - and boo any homer.

Not 'cause he's done 'roids, but because he's an ass, walking him is the right thing to do strategically speaking and because he's an ass.
