Budcrew - I think we are on the same line of thinking here, I think. In my mind ARod is not choking because he can't hit 500 because history has shown it has taken people a long time to get there.
Also, I guess I should have just noted who made the choking comment. Since BYH hates the Yankees and especially ARod, of course he will call him a choker.
Of course, I haven't heard BYH calling Bonds a choker.
I just think he is pressing too hard and when he finally does get 500, he will probably go on a big run.

    First pitch bitches!
No. 500 down the left-field line and the Yankees lead 3-0.

He has thrown a lot of pitches. Does anyone know if he is on a pitch count?

I spoke a little too soon, as Hughes gives up 2 runs in the third and has thrown 59 pitches through 3.

He's got to be on a pitch count, especially since this is his first start since May.

I'm guessing 90 or 100 pitches. Which means he won't get past the fifth.

ARod, Mantle and Mel Ott are the three players to hit their 500th homer in New York City, according to the YES Network.

  12. That sounds a bit high. I'm guessing more like 80.
