Just saying. Though you probably know a lot more Yankees fans than I do, so apparently you are right and I am wrong.

I've read both boards, and obviously they're populated by fanboys. It's the same with Mets fans who thought Pelfrey was the next Seaver. They all want to believe that their call up is the next dominant ace. Both Hughes and Pelfrey are still learning their way(s) around the majors.

I think they're both going to be good. It's going to take some time. And with two teams in the sport's biggest media market and in playoff races, Hughes and Pelfrey don't have the luxury of learning to pitch in the majors.

Wilson Betemit is 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs today. Thank you Dodgers management that thought Scott Proctor was worth anything more than a bag of balls.

    Think the Yankees pen sucks?
Take a look at the pile of shit the Royals trot out there.

    I gotta rant:

I just flipped on Mets-Cubs on Fox. Buck and McCarver were discussing the Cubs resurgence and pointed out that the Northsiders turned things around after Pinella's meltdown in June.

For fuck's sake. The duo is roughly the 10 billionth talking head to make that suggestion and it's bullshit. How about pointing out that the Cubs have one of the deepest lineups in the National League? No? How about the deep Cubs rotation? That couldn't have had anything to do with Chicago getting back into the race.

No. It was a tantrum that turned the Cubs around. Right. If you believe that, I got something I want to sell you.

Farnsworth is in and has put the first two batters on in the seventh.

Lilly has a damn good curve. If you don't believe me, ask Moises "I'm way too fucking old to be batting fifth, let alone playing in the majors" Alou. Lilly froze him for strike three to end the inning with runners on second and third.

Nasty hook by Lilly. I just wonder why it took McClelland forever to call strike three.

It's his style. Big Blue has a flare for the dramatics. Although, anyone watching on tv could tell Alou was fucked right away.

Baby steps for Farnsworth. He allows just two baserunners and one run.
