Yeah, that could go on for a while.

 

Does McCarver really need to explain what a long reliever is?

 

McCarver has fallen prey to the Madden disease: Once a legendary analyst, now a guy who talks just to talk.

 

I don't really blame him for that. A long time ago, Fox decided to gear its broadcast toward morons who have never watched a game in their lives. Remember that fucking cartoon baseball that explained what a curve ball was?

 

PWNED.

I do blame Fox for the resurrection of the "fans praying in the playoffs" shot. That's the only bad thing to happen in Boston's march to the 2004 World Series.

Just when I thought the Twins could help the Yanks out against the Indians today, they brought in Ramon Ortiz.

Awesome play by Aaron Sele. Runners on first and third with no outs, Lilly hits a come-backer, and Sele looks the runner back at third and still gets the 1-6-3 double play.

 

Lilly's been great, just struck out his eighth batter.
