Oh, fucking bullshit. You point out one spot where Cubs talk took up two consecutive pages of a running baseball thread, and I'll apologize. Otherwise, fetch me a Newcastle.

Much to my surprise, we're heading to the 10th in Milwaukee. I wonder what new and exciting way the Phils will come up with to ruin my day afternoon evening.

Like I said, Doc, I'm not going to get into the pissfest with you guys. Just wanted to perhaps alert you to the fact that it's not just spnited and hockeybeat, or the old man and his protege, as you termed them, who think you're wayyyyyy in the wrong on this one.

It seems, though, that you've not got your wits about you.

Let me see if I can find you a beer in the meantime.

Switching gears to try and derail a pissing match that shouldn't be:
    Six.
    Six.
Break 'em up I'm telling you.

  5. What's up with Cordero, Moddy? He's automatic lately. Which cannot be said for the other Cordero.

He's been very good since he returned from "bereavement leave." Maybe that grandma stuff was weighing on his mind.
When he's on, he's very good. VERY good. He just has zero margin for error and can't get by when he's the slightest bit off. He doesn't throw that hard so when that shit rises six inches or so, see ya.

Hell, their bullpen in general has been pretty good overall.

Both the Tigers and Indians' offense have been pretty horrible.

Maybe no one really wants to win the Central. :D

Or maybe it's the curse of Neifi (well, for the Tigers anyway).

The Indians' problem is pretty easy to find. It's Travis Hafner. Is anybody else in that lineup actually underachieving? I don't think so. But Hafner, whatever the reason may be, is not even close to the hitter he was the last three seasons.

Yankees are a 1/2 game back of the Wild Card.
On June 4 they were 24-31, they've gone 37-19 over the last 2 months and 17-7 since the All Star break

    The Brewers bullpen is imploding.

Phils scored five in the ninth and We Helms drove in two with a two-out double in the 11th. 8-6, Philly, with runners on first and second.

  11. make that bases loaded.

Oh, but the Phils bullpen is showing its true colors in the bottom half:

    out
    out
    walk
    single + and error
    intentional walk

    Loaded for Counsell
