Jermaine Dye missed nine games with a strained quad earlier this season.

I like the sound of that.

    Dear ESPN:

    Fire Joe Morgan. Now.

    Sincerely,

    Your Audience.

Has Joe Morgan told the story about how he used to warm up Jim Craig of the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Team by hitting fungos at him during practice?

Soon enough, he'll say he made The Catch against the Cowboys, and not Dwight Clark.

I'm confused - is Glavine's mom to the right of Mr Glavine or the blond in white tank top to left?

Morgan just informed the audience that Luis Castillo had no knowledge of the National League or the Wrigley winds.

I must be confusing that Luis Castillo with the Luis Castillo that was a key member of the 2003 World Champion Marlins...who beat the Cubs in the NLCS.

Earlier in the game he talked about how Castillo knows what it's like to be in a pennant race, playing for the Twins for all those years. ::)

I would love to see Jason Kendall throw someone out sometime this season.

Nah, I went to Saturday's game and saw No. 500, but that was it.

Re: Meche, I would rather the Royals throw $55 million over five years at Meche than $42 million over four years at Ted Lilly. Either way, the market was crazy top to bottom. The way I see it, at least they didn't invest $106 million over nine years for both J.D. Drew and Julio Lugo.
