Exactly. Too many things have gone well this year for there not to be something special about this team. Perhaps, with Soriano out, Pie will get extended playing time and play well, thus relegating Junk Jones to the bench when Soriano returns. Everything happens for a reason.

 

Pie's hitting .359 at Iowa. Might as well bring him back. Even if he doesn't hit, their defense will be 100 percent better. What's the other option, DeRosa? Murton?

Tejada was placed on waivers and he was claimed by the White Sox, but the O's and White Sox cannot agree on a deal.

Pie's the right choice, because he's the only choice. He excites the team and energizes the crowd, and right now they probably both need a jolt. With Wood coming back, it just seemed too fucking perfect.
