There's a home run derby going on in Milwaukee. Marlon Anderson just hit a three-run shot for the Mets, the third of the game and second for New York. Oh, yeah, it's the top of the third inning.

 

I kind of feel bad for Mike Maroth at this point.
He pitched Sunday, allowing 7 ER on 11 hits in 4 innings.
He is in in relief against the Pirates right now and has allowed 7 ER on 9 hits in 1 2/3 innings and is responsible for the two guys on base.

 

Can anyone say Memphis Redbirds?

 

Why, hello, Shawn Green. His solo home run runs the Mets' to an 8-5 lead in the sixth. Why couldn't they hit a trio of home runs last night for Glavine?

 

I'm not exactly Mr. White Sox, but did that guy really deserve to get ran so fast by plunking someone in the side with a 71 mph knuckleball?

Wonder if the home ump will be reprimanded by MLB.
