The Royals offense isn't as good as the Devil Rays, but their pitching is much better. They just need to DFA Elarton and let any young kid come up and pitch. They actually have some decent arms out of the 'pen, unlike Tampa Bay who used four consecutive relief pitchers against the Yankees last week who had ERAs over 7.00.

  2. and folks want the Phils to trade Aaron Rowand for starting pitching. Riiiiiiiiight.

The Yankee run will not continue. Even if it does, the Red Sox continue to win as well.

Ah, but the Red Sox are beating the Indians, which is helping the Yankees.

Which is very unfortunate. The Sox play most of August's games on the road, so fans will see if the Sawx ([/Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon]) are worth their salt. 61-39 after 100 games is pretty good.

The Sox have had a very good start, but with Ortiz hurting and Schilling nowhere to be found, there is a setup for some stumbling soon*.

Absolutely not, Ang. Manny starting to get hot again. Youkilis is struggling a little but that will end. Papi will come back and his numbers will improve. Lugo, Drew, Wily Mo and Coco all struggled/are struggling and they are still 21 games over .500.
And the pitching! Lester is back, which is excellent for Sox fans. Dice-K has been worth every cent, and Josh Beckett is tied for the LL in wins. Wakefield hasn't been bad either, especially if the boys can score some runs around him.
Schilling will be back and better than ever. The bullpen has been outstanding (ranked number 1 in many different categories).
Lopez has been strong. Delcarmen is a good young set-up guy. Okajima has been lights-out, as has Papelbon.

As long as the team can stay healthy, I believe they will be just fine.

Got to say, budcrew, this comes off as one of the most ridiculous fanboy posts I have ever seen on this site.
Assuming Ortiz will suddenly regain his power after suffering a shoulder injury and missing a bunch of games to Schilling missing a mess of time and being really good even though he wasn't very good before he got hurt to acting like Wily Mo is even apart of the group of Lugo/Drew/Coco.
It's fine to be a die-hard fan, but let's have a little realism here.
I understand it is unlikely the Yankees will make the playoffs based on what happened the first two months, but I can hope.

Oooh, Hudson just might escape a two-on, no-out jam for the complete game shutout.

Nothing like giving up a single on an 0-2 2 out pitch to .247 hitting Rich Aurilia. I know you don't care, spnited, but fuck that fucked my fantasy team.

Hudson should have finished off the job.
