Do the Phillies need an atheist as their beat reporter? What about a religious non-Chistian?

  5. well the only good news is the Phils don't lose any ground to the Mets....however, it would be nice to take advantage on the rare occasions the Mets, you know, lose.

Why are the Phils and Nats going nowhere? See last night and today.

Some things just remain the same.
A Tigers' pitcher's throwing error allows the winning run to score for the White Sox in the bottom of the ninth. 4-3.

How about Washington rookie John Lannan getting ejected from his MLB debut for hitting Utley and Howard? Good stuff.

Fantastically played. Technically they've been f*cked since that moment, not in trouble. But I take your point.

So far, it looks like the Yankees have found a pitcher to cool them off. Jorge De La Rosa has a shutout through four, though he has been in and out of trouble the entire game.

De La Rosa is always in trouble. His key is walks. He'll give up 8-10 hits, but if he has 0-2 walks, he'll be OK.

By the way, anyone see the garbage-time double Alex Gordon had in the second inning, which started a four-run inning?
