Chili Davis had 112 RBI one year without a sac fly? Crazy stat.

    Royals scalp Indians.

Big two-run double early from Billy Butler and a three-run bomb by Emil Brown. Meche was cruising until taking a line drive off his pitching arm. Still got the win, Dotel the save.

Yankees win. Way to go. Two out of three against the DRays. I think this means they are going to win the World Series - lol.

The other sac-fly stat that blew me away (at least something does these days ... ) was how Mickey Mantle has as many sac flies as ... Neifi Perez.

That's two straight games now that Sabathia has been hit fairly hard.

Last game before the break, he only lasted four innings. Today, seven innings, but he gave up six.

And they both played baseball. And they both have two arms and two legs. That's where the similarities end, though.

And caught one game on the White Sox. I'm loving this.

Dammit Zeke, when are you going to realize no one in Amerikkka cares about the Twins? It's Yankees and that's it. That is why they are going to win the World Series!

Seriously, though, nice win by the Braves. They nearly blew it in the 7th, but rallied for the win. And I see the Rangers pitching came back to bit them in the ass, nothing like roughing up Lackey but blowing an early lead to lose. Plus, it is always good to see the Tigers lose. Way to go Mariners.

It's not just the Yankees, though. It's Yankees and Sawx! Yankees and Sawx! After that, no one else matters!

Uncle Brucie was behind the plate tonight, M's vs Tigers, and the M's were the major beneficiaries. Kenny Rogers wanted that pitch down, and he couldn't get it, in the sixth walked Sexson and Beltre and loaded 'em up. Kenji Johjima fouled off five or so in an eight pitch at bat; yerked one out to left on the eighth pitch. M's wound up winning 6-4.

Any take on Reitsma, Buckweave or other knowledgeable one? He tried to puke it up tonight with the M's leading 6-2. He has looked OK when locating, but he is just back off the DL. I don't know whether to expect him to improve as he builds strength, or to be afraid.

Somehow Mussina has only allowed three runs, despite giving up 9 hits through 3 1/3 innings. Man, he has struggled this year.

Nice pitching by Wandy Rodriguez to blow an early 5-0 lead, allowing a six-spot to the Cubs in the bottom of the second. Pagan homered and the rally was capped by a Lee 3-run blast.
