If Texas wins, no way Alabama is No. 2 and no way Florida is ranked ahead of a team it soundly lost to. Boise is the easy No. 2 then. Even with an Alabama win, I'm still confident no-loss Boise gets ranked No. 2 over one-loss Florida.

Boise will be in the top 5 to start and I think they open with Virginia Tech in DC and also have Oregon State on the schedule. They go undefeated next season and they play for the national title.
They might even be No. 1 for part of the season. 'Bama will be No. 1 to start but they'll lose at least once in the SEC.

    Congrats to Boise (dammit!)
    That's one fine program.

I think TCU returns most everyone as well. Losing Hughes is pretty big on the D, but they've been consistently good on defense for years so there probably won't be a ton of drop off. I think they play Oregon State in the Jerry Bowl as their big non-conference game. It will be interesting to see where they start the season next year as well. Probably top 10.

If those two teams are Top 10, college football is much weaker than I ever imagined this year.
That game was a total fucking bore between two mediocre, and mostly offensively inept, teams.
When the punters are their teams' MVPs, it says something about the quality of the teams.

OK, they're no Rutgers, but still....

Or, more likely, it says something about the quality of their defenses. Boise State did start the season by shutting down Oregon in what was the Ducks' worst offensive performance of the season, easily.

Agree. I didn't see anything last night that would convince me that either one of these teams would come within two touchdowns of beating Florida.

Makes me wonder if Houston Nutt's close family friend, Teresa Prewitt, has forwarded Jevan Snead her "Dear Mr. Interception King" letter, which was originally sent to Mitch Mustain.

    Third.
It was a very close game between two good teams, a fun game to watch, but to say the winner of it should be in the top two BCS ranking is just wanton hyperbole.
