  1. I'm sure they appreciate that.

Two above average teams on one schedule?! Golly.

Not at all. I have no idea if they are equal to any BCS AQ. Let's put them on the field and find out.

Nobody can say, with any authority, that any team with a loss is better than Boise State this year. You can't even prove that the supposed "title game" winner is better. You just can't prove it. That's a fact.

I'd be more inclined to believe the people who want us to believe they can just watch the teams play and tell if they weren't so consistently wrong. The consensus was that TCU was a legitimate title contender and Boise State was going to get destroyed.

Nor can you prove that Boise State is better than any team other than the ones it beat. But hey, they beat Oregon in September, so they're totally worthy.

At least by playing Virginia Tech next year, they can go ahead and lose early so we don't have to hear their crap the rest of the way. Remember: last time they played two BCS-conference opponents in the same year, they started 0-2. They'd like you not to remember that.

How many times have you predicted a loss and been wildly wrong in a college football game? Why should we believe you?

Trusting the BCS numbers is always dangerous because they're not infallible ...

2000 -- No. 3 Florida State lost one game all year, to No. 2 Miami, who had also only lost one game. But the Seminoles' computer numbers were better and they got a shot at Oklahoma, losing 13-2, not the Hurricanes.

2001 -- Oregon got passed up for the championship game in favor of a Nebraska team that lost its regular-season finale 62-36 at Colorado and didn't win the Big 12 North.

2003 -- Oklahoma lost 35-7 in the Big 12 championship game still goes on to play for the national title. USC was the No. 1 team in both polls and didn't get a chance to play LSU.

2004 -- Oklahoma and LSU play for the championship while Auburn and Utah -- who also went undefeated -- wonder what could have been. Knowing Urban Meyer's knack for big games now, I specifically wonder about the Utes.

2008 -- The Big 12 South debate featuring Oklahoma, Texas and Texas Tech.

2009 -- Similar to 2004, only with TCU, Boise State and Cincinnati on the outside while Alabama and Texas get the nod.

The betting line was 7. Which means half the people picked the game to go down to the wire and/or for BSU to win outright.

What consensus said BSU was going to get destroyed? Where does this nonsense come from?

Dunno. I don't exactly make many predictions, at least not to my recollection. The last time I can recall was repeatedly saying that Georgia wasn't going to beat Georgia Tech, then being pleasantly surprised when I was wrong. There may also have been an element of reverse jinxing at play there, but I'll never tell. :D

And I wouldn't have predicted a Boise State regular-season defeat at any point after the Oregon game, because they didn't play any teams worth a damn.

But I know what happened the last time Boise State traveled across the country to play a semi-decent team. And I get to hold it against them as long as anyone claims that the 2007 Fiesta Bowl is relevant.

Every game is relevant. Every fictional, this team is better than that team because I think so, is not.

    It looks perhaps photoshopped.
If anyone taped the game, maybe they can check if it really happened.
I tend to believe it didn't.

I saw people making comments about that last night on Twitter, so I think it actually did happen. Unfortunately, I didn't DVR the game so I couldn't go back and confirm it.
