    I was wrong about Snead.
I can't believe it, buts he's declared for the Draft.
I never thought he'd do it after this year.

Not that he particularly helped his stock, but would another year under Houston Nutt really help a quarterback's draft stock?

And didn't someone else say that Ole Miss has a huge number of seniors?

2010 could be a rough year in Oxford.

Every conference has the chance for that happening at some point. Nebraska was a second away from it happening in the Big 12 this year. The worst champion record in the MWC's was 8-3 in 1999, when CSU, BYU and Utah all tied in the first year. Other than that no champion has had less than 10 wins (and CSU was one of them). The last six have had at least 11. The Mountain West has been a pretty solid conference since its inception.

I guess I should have limited my discussion to any of those teams, regardless of record. At least, with Nebraska, you've got a team with a long and storied tradition. Could you imagine a 10-2 UNLV, San Diego State, New Mexico, Air Force, or Colorado State playing in the BCS? Is it a game that would intrigue anyone at all?

The same could be said of 90 percent of bowl games these days.
Two of the last five ACC champions have had three or more losses. Wake Forest had two when it went to the Orange Bowl. No one was griping much about those teams not having the right to play in a BCS bowl.

    He's definitely a pro prospect.

Found this after a quick google. This site rates him the No. 5 quarterback and a probable second or third round selection.

a lot of these graduation rates for athletes, mainly football and basketball, are hype and bs from the NCAA. i'd like to see a study where they see 5 years after these guys graduate what their jobs are. in basketball i'd bet those playing in europe make more than 95% of those who graduate and are working. i know they can't play forever, but for most guys at big-time schools, it's a minor league for the NBA and NFL.

This BCS title game is not actually a "bowl" game.
Is there a separate thread for the title game?

Texas does not gain more than 225 yards tonight.

No better setting than the Rose Bowl.

    Texas 27-24 in a classic.
