Have to say, thus far, Texas has dialed up a hella fine defensive game plan.

 

OK, still doesn't change the point - Texas was going to face long odds to win this game WITH McCoy - without him, if they can keep it within 20 points I'll be impressed.

I was in Austin last year and was amazed at the number of people who (a) say that national title was all Vince Young and (b) they wished Mack Brown would retire so the coach in waiting - the d-coord - could take over because Brown is a good recruiter but not a good coach and he always falls short in big games.

I'm watching from kinda far away from the TV ... but that wasn't QB up the middle was it? And if it was, why?
