Other defensive coaches I've talked to also say they want to "affect the QB."
    Not just Muschamp.

    It's a FG.

    Puhhhhhhhlease.

He may not, but the hardest part (assuming Alabama doesn't go for and make it here) has been done.

Alabama tried to lull Texas to sleep and ended up falling asleep instead.

I give a shit-ton of credit to Texas's kids -- they have played a fucking unbelievable second half against a team that looked to me this year like a machine.

I was dead wrong about Texas's ability to make this a game and that freshman has showed more in two quarters than Chris Simms did in three or four years....

Depending on how the final 3:15 unfolds, maybe THE worst?

He is a Belichick disciple. Don't put it past him.

Had nothing to do with this game. The deplorable third-quarter play-calling kept Texas in this game, gave the defense some confidence, then Gilbert started making some plays.

Well, here it is. Bama has been an utterly putrid 1-for-11 on third down conversions.

1stadd: And then Bama screws the pooch on defense ...

2ndadd: The freshman fumbled the game away.

No. The hard part is having a freshman lead the team 70 yards, at least, for a FG attempt.

When the flag was thrown, my first thought was holding in the end zone, safety to end it. Would have been awesome.
