    McElroy's record as a starting quarterback tells me that he has played on a lot of teams who overcame a very mediocre quarterback to win a lot of games.

    Has there ever been a guy not named Trent Dilfer who was along for the ride for a championship more than that?

    Classic and tired sports fan ploy.

    "There's no chance that [unlikely but very possible sports event] will happen."

    Then when it doesn't happen, act like you knew it all along. If it does happen, shrug it off and make the same overly confident statement next time.
