He didn't say something stupid like "there's a 0 percent chance that Boise State could beat Ohio State" and then try to defend it. I bet he also knows what an opinion is.

They'd prove more by winning in South Bend than by playing UC Davis, Miami of Ohio, Tulsa or Bowling Green.

    2010: Va. Tech, Oregon State.

And not terribly much more, stl. Notre Dame should have to go to the smurf turf in return.

I love Dooley. He's so right in his posts. I'm generally sarcastic, but I'm serious now. And how the hell can you even consider Va Tech?

It's a formula based on strength of schedule, results and point differential. It gives VT a lot of love for its losses being by small margins to good teams and its wins being blowouts.

No, but Alabama is NOT in the WAC and nobody is saying Boise sucks.

It is just clear to me and anyone who is objective that Boise would not go undefeated against Alabama's schedule and that the talent level of Alabama is far greater than Boise.

Oh, there are plenty of folks saying Boise sucks. Having said that, Bama is the clear national champion.

I don't disagree with any of those things. I just don't find them relevant to the issue of whether an undefeated team can be eliminated from championship contention for other reasons.

Add some seats and they probably would.

And, fwiw, I'm not saying Boise sucks. At all. Just that if they want to make the jump from BCS bowl games to BCS title games, they need to play a tougher schedule.
