Damn. I didn't even realize that VT won its games by an average of 22 points. That's amazing, considering how mediocre the Hokies were this year. Three losses by an avg. of six points.

Yeah, I know. But having watched every Va Tech game, I still think they're not a very good football team. QB sucks, offense sucks. I don't know, I never thought they should be anywhere near a bowl game.

since there's no playoff if more than 2 are undefeated someone is going to be eliminated from playing for the national championship. because teams from the sec, pac-10 and big 12 have won pretty much every natl champ over the last decade the burden is on the schools not from those conferences to try to beat a top team in those conferences in the regular season. it's not fair because most of those teams aren't going to agree to play a home and home against a boise but it is what it is.

I love Boise State, but ever since mid-October, Alabama's looked like the best team in the country. Tonight was no different. I would for the Broncos to get a share, but that's not realistic. At the very least, they will get some votes somewhere. I still love how JoePA split his vote three ways back when USC, Auburn and Utah all finished unbeaten.

If there were a plus-one system, we could have Alabama-Boise State next week to determine the championship. If there were a playoff, Boise State could prove it's the best in the country. Unfortunately, we're stuck in the same place we always are, having the same debate with many of the same teams each and every season.

I figured all we'd hear is the UT fanbois whine about how things would be different with McCoy. They still would have lost.

Alabama's D set the tone early and often. As someone said, not sure I want McCoy heading into the teeth of that defense so early. The Tide was the better team tonight.

Good for Saban, too, who I'm a fan of. Alabama's gonna be a force for the next few years.

That's a hollow argument anyway, seeing as how Alabama knocked McCoy out of the game. It's not like he slammed his thumb in a car door.
