Yep I've been cleaning up the last two night's on the BYU and Utah and the over. Thank you over-rated and not that good PAC-10 team for not caring. What a horseshit excuse that is.

Yeah, the Pac-10 laid down. Can't be that the Mountain West has produced some good teams, too.

Yeah, no motivation by a Utah program that had 8 straight bowl wins, moved that to 9, and is within 2 of the all-time record. Yep, no motivation whatsoever. Not to mention, Cal was up 14-0. Yep, Cal didn't want to play.

Pose the least resistance to Cal, and they wither and die.

Seven of those 14 points came on a gift interception that any of the cheerleaders could have made. Ben is correct; sure looked to me like Cal found it easier to roll over.

So if the MWC teams got beat badly, would they have just rolled over or would it be that they can't hang with the mighty big boys? I'm guessing it would be the latter.

I'm bowing out of any defense of the Pac10 the rest of the way, even if they beat Ohio State, Oklahoma, BC, Nebraska and Temple, the way Cal and Oregon State played was pretty weak.

It changes every year. Last year the Pac 10 was 5-0 in bowl games. This year they might go 2-5. Doesn't really matter.

As for that "gift" pick-6 that any cheerleader could've made ... it's still an interception and still a return for TD, and still 14-0.

Utah is a very solid program; two BCS wins in the past five years, and, as was mentioned, eight consecutive bowl wins (before Cal) against a variety of opponents.

Utah should defeat the No. 5 Pac-10 team, just as it would probably beat the No. 5 SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and ACC team. And it did.

Many people east of the Rockies can't acknowledge that western football exists. Some Pac-10 people don't want to acknowledge that the top three MWC teams - Utah, BYU and TCU at the present time - can play with anyone in the the Pac-10, and anyone in the country.

They can. And they generally prove it every season.

Utah began the streak, I believe, by beating USC in the Vegas Bowl in '01.

Seems like ESPN is really going out of its way to avoid showing the empty stands at Aloha Stadium.

I was being sarcastic. I just hate when some team can't make the Rose Bowl or the BCS title game the cause for the loss is they weren't motivated. If you aren't motivated, be like ND and pass on the invitation.
