I also have no respect for Wisconsin's non-con schedule but it works in the greater scheme.

Get three non-con home games, fill the place, split your Big Ten schedule and cash the checks for another season. Wisconsin will never beat Ohio State on a consistent basis but they do push for a Big Ten run every five years. After 3 Rose Bowls in the 90s, it has been ten years now, however...

I will not defend the Badgers' shitty non-conference scheduling. I told many friends this season that a game against Wofford does absolutely nothing for the program.

But if this score holds up, the Badgers will have beaten Arkansas (with Jones and McFadden), Auburn and Miami in bowl games over the past five years.

Toss in some large Big Ten games, and while they have been generally overrated, to call Wisconsin a piece-of-shit outfit is a little harsh.

Many Vegas talking heads have been
eagerly trashing the Big 10 at every turn, going into this bowl season.

Like some seasoning for that crow, boys?

You contradict yourself in one post. You compliment Golden on a classy wardrobe and then you hype those ridiculous Miami unis.
Coaches walking the sideline in shirt and tie is absurd. This is a football game, not a board meeting. If I didn't know what Golden looked like and was watching this game, I would have thought he was the trainer or the AD, and the guy with the Temple top and the play card was the coach.
When Miami as flagged after the return of the opening kickoff, I thought the referee was going to announce, "Personal foul for stupid-looking uniforms." One of the other guys here tonight said it looked like they ran out of paint while they doing the numbers and had to go to a different color to finish 'em up.

Yeah, you'd think they were Boise State or something.

Of course, two of their four non-conference games were against teams in Boise's conference. You know, the conference that going undefeated in qualifies Boise to sit at the big-boys table.

The fact that they are classified as NCAA FBS qualifies them to sit at the big-boys table. If that's a problem, reclassify.

Then you should never complain about anyone's SOS or non-con sked, because if all teams are FBS and thus equal, it doesn't matter if they're playing Texas or Western Kentucky.

I'll never consider SOS to be anything but a tiebreaker.

But why should it be considered at all? FBS teams are FBS teams! There's no difference!

I hate any bowl game that doesn't give enough of a shit to paint the field with the bowl game logo at midfield and the team names in the end zones. I bring this up because I'm the only non-Idaho or BGSU grad watching the Humanitarian Bowl.

Idaho-BGSU tied at 7, midway through the first.

    First team to 45.

Of course there is. The crappy teams that Boise plays are totally different than the crappy teams that Wisconsin plays, even when they're the same teams.
